This week has been a semi-productive week so far. I had my presentation yesterday and I was really happy with the way it went. I think talking through my project and seeing peoples reactions helped me understand my project and how I want to change it. I've seen everything on paper and talked about it in little sections but hearing my project as a whole was new. I think it helped me realize what i have to achieve in the time which was a good realization to have so early. Listening to others peoples presentations were also really cool, I liked hearing the direction people are taking their projects and how their final piece will turn out. Some topics surprised me but it was fun to listen to peoples reasoning on why they chose it. Other than the presentations this week I have done interviews, sent out my survey and done a majority of my website with an editorial. The interview and survey all go into my editorial for the week. I am doing an analysis of what people think goes on behind charities and donations versus facts. The people always seemed to be surprised by the answers and unfortunately in a bad way. The editorial is in my website which will have all my final pieces. I also started reading my book. Its a lot more factual than I thought but very very helpful! A lot goes on that i didn't know about so its cool!

Week 1- Blog 3
As the weekend comes up and we have our first presentation for Monday, i feel prepared. I have, so far, stayed on schedule and worked really hard with everything i have done. The research i have found is interesting so far. I'm fascinated to hear peoples thoughts through the survey and interviews. (please take my survey everyone). I'm really looking forward to tomorrow and hearing everyones projects. a lot of them have altered through the process of proposals so the final decision on a project should be interesting!

Week 1- Blog 2
I'm really excited to start my project. After frustration and annoyance, I came around to a plan. I separated each week into a goal and mission. Week 1 is the process of gathering information and surveys, I want to see the what people think goes on versus what actually goes on. I'm going to interview faculty of all ages and genders and plan to write an analysis on for a newspaper about what I found. Week 2 goes into the advertising parts of charities. How they advertise what they do, versus what they actually do. I'm going to write another newspaper article and write peoples reactions to the ads and the truth. Week 3 will be documentary week. I want to take all i've collected and make a video to inform the people. I will put it in with my editorials, hopefully in a website to advertise for the people. Week 4 I am hoping to interview people from charities directly. I have people I want to interview but nothing has been finalized yet. Then week 5 will be my documentary week, piecing everything i have found in one. My final project will be a website set up like a news place with my editorials and documentary to educate the people. I am looking forward to getting started because right now I'm still stressed and lost. I have a lot to do and I'm not sure how long each thing will take so I have found it difficult to set up my calendar without knowing how long my boos are.

Week 1- Blog 1
Today we finally had a full discussion on our project. People shared ideas and we began to organize. I had indifferent feels about the project until we got to discuss today. Sharing different ideas was helpful and I'm excited to get started. I thought this project was going to be a good amount of work but this is a lot more than I expected. I think finding a book on charities could be hard and take me a while to read. I know the dead lines will help me stay organized so I hope to plan that out soon. I think this process will really help me grow as a student and hopefully keep me on task. My goal for this term is discover more about myself and my field of interest. Today I am finalizing my proposal so I can get to work next class. With Mr. Igoe I want to set dead lines and really talk through each skill so I know I am getting done what is required. I'm scared I'm going to miss parts or think I am completing something I am not. Clarification I think will help me in the future. Getting started will feel very good and reassure me its possible.
